PART-TIME

CHILDREN:  a 14-month-old who is a very active little boy, loves the outdoors, water play, and enjoys looking for the birdies outside in the trees. He is shy to start with new people, but warms up to you once he is comfortable. He is very curious, so he needs to be closely watched at all times.

DAYS REQUIRED: One day a week (may increase)

Some evenings, so Mum and Dad can spend time together

HOURS: 5 hours per day. Likely to be 10 am to 3 pm

FAMILY DETAILS:  The family live in a beautiful waterfront home where there is ample room for the nanny to enjoy an abundance of opportunities with the toddler.  Dad owns and operates a large business, and Mum is looking to spend some time every week getting some time to do other duties. 

IDEAL NANNY:   The nanny must be caring and polite and work well with other household staff. The family are high profile so the nanny must respect their privacy.

DUTIES REQUIRED:   Child care duties will be mainly with the 14 month old, helping prep some of the children's meals, helping with tidying the children's bedrooms and playroom.

PAY RATE: $35 per hour, negotiable

 WHERE IS IT? Nestled within the Gold Coast hinterland, Guanaba is a peaceful, rural suburb known for its expansive properties and picturesque landscapes. It offers an idyllic escape from the bustle of city life, while still being close enough to enjoy the conveniences of the Gold Coast. The family are offering a good pay rate and package.

CHILDREN:  Girls aged 8 and nearly 4

 The eldest is a positive, loving, and energetic girl who loves animals, music, and art, and is sensitive. Polly is a confident, loving,and outgoing child who loves anything her sister does. She has started Pre-prep this year and is thriving, as she is very focused and loves books.. She is also very outspoken and likes to be heard.  

DAYS REQUIRED: Monday to Friday

HOURS: 6 am-8 am mornings and 3 pm until 5:30-6 pm 

FAMILY DETAILS:  Mum is an Anaesthetist, and Dad is the owner and operator of an Earthmoving/Construction company.  They live on 12 acres in the hinterland and home is wonderful. The environment is kept very clean and tidy. Their days are busy with early starts and sometimes late finishes. Very calm and happy environment, especially when they have help and support.

IDEAL NANNY:   Living in the area would be an advantage as the position is split shifts. The nanny will be caring and connect well with the children. Organised and takes the intitiative to help run the household and is clean and tidy.

A good driving record is essential with all care taken to transport the children. 

DUTIES REQUIRED:  Morning duties include preparing lunches, and getting the youngest dressed and driving the girls to school. Afternoon is pick-up and heading home for afternoon tea. 

Preparing Hello Fresh meals (the quick and easy menu)

Doing household jobs that need doing if any extra time (laundry, empty dishwasher, tidying up girls' things and room)

PAY RATE: $35 to $50 per hour

This is a temporary position for 1 to 3 months, with the possibility of days being offered after this period.

CHILDREN:  Boys aged 3 and 1 and a newborn.  

The newborn requires a lot of my time as he is unsettled, and Mum is trying to get him into a routine. The 3-year-old loves adult interactions. He enjoys playing games, crafts, playdough, and any sports-related activities. He is sensitive and loves a good cuddle. The 1-year-old is busy and on the go. He loves climbing, playing with balls, riding bikes, and playing chasing games. He loves a good laugh and is quite independent. 

DAYS REQUIRED: Monday to Friday

HOURS:  8 hours a day

FAMILY DETAILS:  Mum and Dad are self-employed and Dad has long days.  

They are on acreage and have a large playroom with toys that encourage the children to use their imagination and creativity. There is also an area out of the playroom where the boys can do arts and craft. Outside is where they do all our messy play and can enjoy the big outdoor play area.  

They like their happy family home to be organised and tidy. 

IDEAL NANNY:   A nanny who is energetic, happy and can bring joy to the kids day. They would like someone who is able to use positive reinforcement and encourage the children to take risks safely, challenge them, and have fun. Knowing that messy play and being outdoors especially in the sandpit is part of our day. They also have chickens and the children love helping care for them and collecting the eggs.  

 would like someone who is able to help me prep meals, tidy up after meals, help tidy the kids play room and help out with daily house hold chores when needed.  I would like to also spend time playing with my two older boys and helping with their routine so my newborn would need a cuddle to free up my hands.

CHILDREN:  

Three beautiful girls aged 11, 9 and 12 months.  Very easy going, and the eldest is a great help with the baby. They like JuJitsu and dance

HOURS:  3 long days during the week, plus two after-school days to help with the baby.

FAMILY DETAILS:  Mum and Dad are both in Property and Real Estate and work long hours.  They live in a large apartment in Broadbeach, which is very central for parks and beach walks 

IDEAL NANNY:  Caring, extremely engaged with the girls. The previous nanny was like a big sister, and that is very important to us.  We have a cleaner, we do not expect our nanny to be doing cleaning duties, but light tidying, unpacked dishwasher and folding clothes is very helpful for us.

CHILDREN:  Twin 7-month-old boy and girl who are absolutely cute and adorable.

DAYS REQUIRED:  Thursday and Friday 10 to 12 hours but will increase.

HOURS: 8 hours with before and after-school mostly required.

FAMILY DETAILS:  Mum is returning to work after maternity leave as a Nurse Practitioner, and Dad is a Construction sales manager and is often away travelling. They have a lovely rural home, 13 minutes from Canungra, with 3 lovely dogs, 2 cats, a few horses.  

IDEAL NANNY:  This position will suit a Nanny who lives in the area or is happy to travel. If you love being in the country, then this would be ideal. The nanny must be conscious of safety, and be nurturing, creative, positive, and must like dogs.   trying to encourage age-appropriate learning. some toys books,

CHILDREN:  

1. 10-year-old boy  who is thoughtful, curious, and loves learning about how things work. He enjoys outdoor play, soccer, and creative projects, but can sometimes be shy in new situations. 
2.   5-year-old boy who is energetic, funny, and very affectionate. He has a big personality, enjoys imaginative play, and loves anything to do with superheroes, especially Spider-Man. He can be sensitive to changes in routine, so consistency helps him thrive. 
3.   2-year-old boy who is active, adventurous, and very curious about the world. He loves exploring outside, playing with balls, and anything involving music or movement. Like many toddlers, he’s still developing patience and communication skills, so gentle guidance works best. 

DAYS REQUIRED:  Flexible

HOURS: 8 to 12 hours a fortnight with before and after-school mostly required.

FAMILY DETAILS: Our single mum is a medical receptionist and has an amicable relationship with dad. The home is family-friendly, and the boys enjoy their outdoor toys — bikes, scooters, trucks, and diggers. Indoors, the children have a cosy play area with toys, books, and craft supplies, plus comfortable spaces for reading and quiet play. 

IDEAL NANNY:    The nanny should be reliable, educated, experienced, patient, empathetic, caring, fun, responsible, and safe  All three boys love being outdoors, exploring nature, and having fun together. They do best with a carer who is warm, patient, and engaging, and who understands the balance between playtime and gentle structure 

 The family also request that carers be comfortable with our friendly American Staffy and with occasional kindy drop-off/pick-up.

CHILDREN:  

1. A very typical 12-year-old boy. Loves footy and sports. Thrives with outdoor sporty play and routine.  
2.  Also a very typical 10-year-old girl. She is very self-sufficient, and loves helping her little sister. She likes to be active but also likes time to herself in her room. She is obsessed with makeup and all things beauty. 
3. The youngest girl is 2.5, and she already has an impressive vocabulary , is happy, and can express her needs and feelings quite effectively.  She attends Daycare.

AND 2 Cocker Spaniels. They are both affectionate couch lizards once that go outside when it suits them.     

DAYS REQUIRED:  Monday to Thursday

HOURS: 2.30 pm to 6.30 pm, More hours for home help and overnight stays (see family details)

FAMILY DETAILS: Mum works with pharmaceutical companies and Dad is a Laboratory supervisor and both have demanding roles involving travel.

This lovely family live in a spacious 4-bedroom home on a large (ish) block in a cul-de-sac and have great neighbours. The backyard is large enough to play in but the 2 older kids do also play out the front with other kids from the neighbourhood. 

They like to keep the home tidy and presentable and is reasonably quiet and peaceful. The children attend schools at Robina and Merrimac. 

IDEAL NANNY:   They would love to find someone who feels like part of the family and wants to work with them long term.  A lady of any age who can keep up with an energetic 2.5-year-old. Willing and able to drive as part of her duties to do school/kindy drop-offs. A fully insured car can be provided to a suitable applicant (open driver’s license required) for use during shifts. Fuel, rego, insurance and maintenance at their expense. 

BONUS $$ for a nanny who can cook meals and do some cleaning.
