If you're a warm, energetic, and proactive nanny who loves becoming part of a family rather than just showing up for a job, we'd love to talk with you about this position.

You’ll be caring for:

• A 17-month-old girl
• A 6-month-old boy
   

Both children are happy, easy to please, and thrive in a play-led environment with plenty of outdoor time.

You’ll be working in a beautiful home with a coastal, pastel, earthy vibe. The playroom is filled with wooden Montessori toys, with the only electronic toy being a Tonie Box. Outdoors, you’ll enjoy spending time with the children in the veggie gardens, mud kitchen, sandpit, and Dino sprinkler.

Mum and Dad own and operate a business. Mum works from home and needs your support so she can focus on work, knowing the children are engaged, safe, and thriving.

You’ll also be sharing the home with two much-loved fur babies, so being comfortable around pets is important.

 🌿 Part-Time Nanny 🌿

If you're looking to fill in a career gap by working one day a week every fortnight with extra shifts on occasion, this might just suit you

You’ll be caring for a 14-month-old boy
He is a very active toddler who loves balls, wheels and running around.  He has a healthy appetite and eats a variety of foods. He likes playing games, and engaging with people.  

Dad has a manufacturing company, and Mum is a doctor and works mainly at night.  On Thursdays, she is working from home in the office- it's video consults for an emergency department, so it needs her full attention, hence the need for a nanny.  Although they live in a large 2-bedroom apartment, there is ample room to play as there is a ball pitt, floor cushions and lots of toys. They have a large outdoor balcony with a toddler pool.  They live on a golf course in a secure gated community with multiple pools and parks.

Full-time position 38 hours

DAYS REQUIRED: Monday to Friday

HOURS: 3 long days and 2 half days

CHILDREN:  Girls aged 8 and nearly 4

 The eldest is a positive, loving, and energetic girl who loves animals, music, and art, and is sensitive. Her little sister is confident, loving, and an outgoing child who loves anything her sister does. She has started Pre-prep this year and is thriving, as she is very focused and loves books.. She is also very outspoken and has some wonderfully important things to say.  

FAMILY DETAILS:  Mum is an Anaesthetist, and Dad is the owner and operator of an Earthmoving/Construction company.  They live on 12 acres in the hinterland and home is wonderful. The environment is kept very clean and tidy. Their days are busy with early starts and sometimes late finishes. Very calm and happy environment, especially when they have help and support.

IDEAL NANNY:   You are the sort of person who would rather drive to work through rolling hills than be stuck bumper to bumper, and when you arrive at the family home, you will be happy to smell the roses. You will have a caring nature, be able to use your initiative, be well organised and use your time well to help run the household keeping everything clean and tidy.  The most important thing for mum and dad is that you have a close connection with the children and are able to foster their development in a supportive environment.

A good driving record is essential, with all care taken to transport the children safely. 

DUTIES REQUIRED:  

Morning duties include preparing lunches, and getting the youngest dressed and driving the girls to school. 

During the day, you will return to the house to undertake domestic duties (nothing too crazy), doing household jobs that need doing if any extra time (laundry, empty dishwasher, tidying up girls' things and room)  

Afternoon is pick-up and heading home for afternoon tea. 

Preparing dinner is a bonus.  They use Hello Fresh meals (the quick and easy menu)

• School/daycare drop-off and pick-up
• Preparing children's snacks and meals
• Bathing and dressing
• Play activities
• Homework supervision
• Domestic duties

PAY RATE: $ TBA and will include superannuation and driving expenses

FULL-TIME: 4 OR 5 FULL DAYS

CHILDREN: A baby due mid-November and a 19 month old girl who is  is the happiest child, has slept through the night from early on, very easy going, and loves her food, company & play. Mum and Dad feel blessed as she brightens up their world. She loves Day Care and the staff there just adore her too.

DAYS REQUIRED: 4 days,possibly becoming 5, when mum is in full work mode after Christmas.

HOURS: To start with, 5+ hours a day then 8 hour days

FAMILY DETAILS:  Mum and Dad are Business Owners/Senior Sales Executive + Commercial/Environmental Drone Operator. Mum is only taking a month off work and will be relying on a wonderful nanny to help before she return to her office in Mermaid Beach.  They live in a beautiful apartment steps from the Ocean. Very clean and organised. The lounge room is her playroom and they love it that way! They are very tidy and organised and maintenance is easy. They also have a mini-sausage dog (fur-baby) she is 9 years old so sleeps most of the day, loves human connection. They have a pool, beautiful park across the road, visitor parking. Long-term, they have purchased a property & will be moving to a house with a backyard. Coffee lovers will be happy with an awesome machine for an endless supply.  

IDEAL NANNY:   They don't have any family on the Gold Coast and would like to build a special relationship with a nanny with a high level of experience with newborn babies.  She should be organised, happy, and easy to be around! We hope she will understand that everything she is doing is making a huge impact on their world. Someone who is willing to be flexible, if need be. Comfortable driving, experience with childcare, energetic and loves the park/outdoors. It would be a bonus if you enjoy cooking, and are health conscious. We really need someone who is happy to assist with general domestic house jobs.

The position will also involve travel on occasion, if it suits the nanny.

DUTIES REQUIRED:  

Initially, the role will involve helping mum with everyday routines, caring for their daughter also involving drop-off and pick-up. When the baby is born, the nanny can also help mum and give her a break when needed.

Doing household jobs that need doing if any extra time (laundry, empty dishwasher, tidying up the boy's playroom and bedrooms)  

 • Infant care

Supporting daily routines for both children

• Preparing snacks, and meals

• Dressing, playtime, and age-appropriate educational activities

• Managing naps and settling the baby

• Drop-off/pick-up for

• Light household duties related to the children (tidying, laundry, toy rotation, meals/snacks)

• Occasional ad hoc babysitting on weekends or evenings (optional)

AND the ability to travel overseas with excellent opportunities

PAY RATE: $30 to $40 + per hour, salary and benefits
