All of our fabulous team have a minimum of 3 years relevant experience, hold a current Blue card Working with children check, and have First Aid and CPR. They will generally range in age from 21 to 61 but you may like to know that some of out mature age Nannies are still running marathons and have a healthy lifestyle. Many of our team have Day Care or teaching backgrounds or are professional CAREER NANNIES.
The two important steps to start the process is to have a consultation with us and submit a family application on-line. This ensures that we have a clear job description and the the right information to send to our candidates, allowing them to consider your family as a good fit to consider your role.
Once we have established your families requirements and the traits you consider important for your ideal Nanny, we start talking to Nannies on our extensive data base and place your position on our Job Board.
You will be sent an email including information about the process and an invoice for the Agency Fee. The deposit is payable to take the next steps and the balance is due when you have found your ideal Nanny and she has accepted your position.
Nannies from everywhere and anywhere can then place an expression of interest We then wade through the application to find genuine, suitable candidates. Any Nannies who are new to the agency must complete our thorough screening process.
We interview the applicants to ensure they are a good fit for your families lifestyle and discuss the roles requirements.
Presentation of Profiles
We then send you the profiles of our short list of suitable candidates and will have a chat to you to let you know more about each Nanny.
From here, we listen to your feedback and seek to ensure we arrange Nannies for you to interview that you deem to be suitable.
We will set up interview schedules that are compatible for you and the Nannies and we will send you tips for your interviews and confirm the interview details by email.
When you are meeting Nannies, you can be confident that we have done our due diligence and have only sent you Nannies who are genuinely interested in your position.
To help you make your decision, we may suggest offering your strongest candidates a paid trial to spend time making sure they are a good fit.
You Found You IDEAL Nanny
Congratulations!!!
We give you advice on how to present your offer of employment and assist with templates, induction measures, employment obligations and any professional services you seek.
We will follow up after a few weeks to see how your family and the Nanny are relating and working together and we are delighted to say, it's usually almost perfect. If your Nanny is not suitable in this time we will endeavour to find a replacement.
AGENCY FEE: You will be required to pay a one off Nanny Placement Fee (see rates below) depending on the amount of hours you wish the Nanny to work for you.
DEPOSIT: A Non-refundable deposit of $250 is payable after you have submitted your family application. This is taken off the balance which is payable once you have chosen your ideal nanny and before she commences her position with you.
PAY THE NANNY: As you are employing the Nanny, their renumeration will be agreed on by you and the Nanny.
With guidance from Gold Coast Nannies, you will then nominate the hourly rate or salary that you will be happy to pay your Nanny for their services. During our personalised referral, we will discuss with you the pay rate appropriate for each nanny. The rate is usually dependent on qualifications, experience and specialist skills and may be between $30 to $45 per hour and can go higher for specialised services. Although the final decision is between yourself and the Nanny on remuneration, we are happy to provide guidelines to ensure all parties are satisfied.
Temporary Information and Rates: Guide is 2 to 8 weeks
Sometimes you may just need a Nanny to help you on a temporary basis and paying Babysitting rates might work out costly. All rates will be discussed with you and in some situations discounts are offered. You may also want to know more about the Nanny we are placing with you or want to meet her in advance. Whether you need a short-term nanny for 1 week up to 2 months, we have you covered!
We understand you may need an extra set of hands to help out on a temporary basis. We have a strong nanny pool of casuals ready to work. All we need is a start & end date.
Standard: $250 - We will send you the profiles of a number of a suitable Nanny. You can have a personal phone call or Skype call to discuss the details with your Nanny.
Premium $300 - For the family who need special requirements. Includes profiles and the opportunity to meet your Nanny in advance.
Please note: All trials must be paid for.
Part Time Rates - Under 30 hours per week $850
If a part-time child care solution is what you need, we suggest a minimum of 8 hours a week to make the role desirable to the nanny market. Typically, the more hours your can provide a nanny, the better candidate pool you'll have to choose from.
Full Time Rates 30 hours and over $950
Generally, if you wish you to employ a Nanny on a full-time basis they work over 30-hours per week. Full-Time Nannies are normally paid a salary and are career Nannies meaning they will come with an extensive background in child-care and will be better suited to dedicate their time to your family's needs. You may still want some flexibility which is fine, simply let us know you needs and we will recruit the candidates accordingly.
Live-In Full time or Part-time $1200
Having a Live-In Nanny offers you flexibility and often suits families who may work sporadic hours or shift workers. Recruiting Live-In Nannies takes time and care to ensure the Nanny is suitable for your family, after all they will be living with you. You might even have a Nanny who lives in for a number of weeks during your busy times and then lives in her own home and is available for your family throughout the day or evening. If a Nanny lives in permanently you will find this to be more affordable as you will be covering her rent and other expenses. If she lives outside your home but still does blocks of periods where she provides a live-in service, she has to cover her living expenses of rent or mortgage and will be paid a rate comparable to her experience.
We aim to work on your deadline but believe that getting the right fit is a priority. All good things can take time, although we have been successful in placing Nannies within days. It bears mentioning that some jobs are harder to fill than others due to factors such as location, low hours, or odd hours and the availability of suitable candidates.
Although generally we do have available candidates on our database , we are thorough with the process and take the time to get you the best result. We make sure that you're happy and so is your nanny.
We will always advertise your role to attract new candidates as well as contacting our database, all candidates are screened and interviewed for your role – so this does take time .
We’re here to present you with the best candidates we can find, however will always do our best to meet any deadline you have.
How quickly we can find your nanny depends on your role, and availability of suitable nannies in your location.
Once we have understood your requirements, we advertise your role and contact our Nannies on our database. We then start the recruitment process of screening and interviewing applicants for you. We only send you candidates that we have personally interviewed and that we think would be a great match for your family.
Average placement times are anything from 2-6 weeks, we do our best to meet your timescales and if we have the right nanny for you things can happen very quickly.
Ultimately the more notice we have the more time we have to get the best candidates for you – and we don’t want you to rush your decision – getting the right fit is the priority !
We can provide you with detailed information when you begin the process and will discuss this with you. Nannies often work on their ABN or you may decide to pay them on salary or payroll. We work closely with payroll companies that can take the hard work out of it for you.
We recommend connecting with our partner service PAY THE NANNY for professional service and advice.
We take the time and effort to provide you with detailed profiles that will give you information including the following:
Yes! You can trial all candidates as it can help you make a decision if you're stuck on deciding on more than one Nanny. This will give you the opportunity to see how they connect with you and the children.
A trial should be one day only for each Nanny.
This will be a paid trial.
You may trial for one typical day or offer a shorter shift of at least 3 hours.
Sometimes you just know when you have met your ideal Nanny and will want her to start ASAP.
Keep in mind, we offer a 4 week period for you to ensure you are happy and if it hasn't worked out as you had imagined, we will withdraw the Nanny and help you choose another Nanny. (please read the T & C's for more information.
It's always a good idea to make sure you are on the same page with each other and is a decision you can decide on with the Nanny.
We can provide you with a sample contract that is in word format so that you can make changes to suit your position.
We recommend Nannysure
Insurance to cover your nanny in the event of an accident is an important consideration. You are required by law to provide Worker’s Compensation for your employee whilst working for you in your home who earns over $7,500 PA. This is not always covered by your Home and Contents Insurance so you will need to check with your insurance company.
Nannies may already have their own Public Liability insurance and we recommend NannySure
We are happy to talk with you so please feel free to call Cathie on 0431301916 or CONTACT US with your enquiry.
